We have developed the steel construction interface to map steel construction models in plant design systems or mechanical engineering design systems. The input format for this interface is the neutral SDNF format. (Steel Detailing Neutral Format)

SDNF files contain all the important information that was used to create the steelwork model. Therefore, the SDNF2STEP interface can recreate the steelwork model in the plant design system or mechanical engineering design system including properties such as section type and size. The imported elements consist of 3D solids, which keeps the model size small and avoids performance losses.
