Navisworks offers the visualization solution of the extra class to you. Easy to use, extensive functionality with an excellent cost-benefit-ratio. UNITEC extends the spectrum with a direct interface for PDMS. No other visualization solution offers more interfaces to analyze 3D data collaboratively.

The PDMS Exporter is a software package, which makes it possible for you to transfer PDMS models to NavisWorks in perfect quality, including all attributes and hierarchies.

The UniConv product consists of two components:

- The PDMS Exporter, which can be used alternatively via a graphical user interface, 
  or by batch export, configurable with a .ini file.

- The PDMS Attribute Viewer which is started automatically as a Navisworks Plugin by
   Navisworks Roamer when opening converted PDMS models, displaying exported
   attributes in a separate property window.

The functions in detail:

- The 3D geometry of the selected elements from the PDMS model structure is
  completely imported.

- Any color rules defined for the model are applied to the export.

- The complete PDMS object hierarchy is transferred

- All attributes defined in PDMS can be exported. These attributes are available for
  all search patterns supported by Navisworks Roamer.

- PDMS models can be exported as cache files (.nwc) or (if a Navisworks Publisher
  license is present) as Navisworks snapshots (.nwd).

- PDMS models, which consist of several locations (SI width unit), can be exported
  separately and be joined in the Navisworks Roamer to a model.

- projects consisting of models from different sources, such as PDS, AutoCAD, or
  Microstation-based process solutions can be combined with converted PDMS
  models into a single model.

- the configuration information for the PDMS Exporter is stored in a control file,
  including a setting to specify the preferred language for the user interface.

- in addition to storing PDMS attributes within the Navisworks model files (requiring
  Navisworks Roamer version 4.1 or higher) an external database can be created
  and/or linked to the elements contained in the model. In this way data from a wide
  variety of sources, such as SmartPlant P&ID, Comos PT, PIDlite, or any
  customerspecific databases can be displayed as separate object properties.

- The PDMS Exporter supports scheduled batch runs.
