CAD-Dataconversion for visualisation and CAD
CAD2Vis has been developed, aiming at converting
CAD data into visualization data, without the need to
have the source CAD system.
CAD2Vis offers two options:
- CAD data can be tessellated (subdivided into polygons) by setting a set of parameters which will generate the tessellation with some specific requirements.
- CAD data which contains geometry defined as NURBS, can be converted into visualization format with the support of NURBS. One can afterwards tessellate the result with an external tool.
CAD2Vis can also convert CAD data into different CAD data formats.
CAD2Vis runs as a batch process and is available under MS Windows (XP).
